A toddler is rushed to the emergency department when her dad suspects she has swallowed button batteries used to power toys. The consequences could be life-threatening, so an x-ray is needed fast to get the answer they need.
The medical team must also work out what’s wrong with a nine-month-old baby. Investigations into a potential blockage in his tummy suggest an ambulance to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool could be needed.
A young boy with leukaemia has a scare when his temperature plummets, but his sparky personality has the nurses smiling and joining in a dancing contest. This series was filmed in January 2020.
