Music Director of both the Utah Symphony and Brazil's SΓ£o Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Thierry Fischer here leads the Brussels Philharmonic in an all-Beethoven concert. The Seventh Symphony opens the programme and its rhythmic lilt and internal energy led to its being dubbed 'the apotheosis of the dance'

Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg is something of a Beethoven specialist, indeed having just recorded all thirty-two of the composer's piano sonatas, and it's his vision and virtuosity that are brought to the colossal 'Emperor' Concerto
