Acro duo Finn and Kirsten try to master a winning routine and we meet tumblers Seb and Shakiem.
Tumbling is a whirl of a gymnastics discipline – it’s fast, it’s furious, it’s flipping fantastic and who better to show us their amazing skills in this mind-blowing discipline, than our two rising stars from Birmingham, Seb and Shakeim. We meet the boys as they prepare for the Tumbling British Championships, and Shakiem has a tough new skill to master – the ‘back in full.’ However, it’s not only a new move that Shakiem has to cope with – he is also feeling the pressure with a big competition looming, as well as pressures at school. But best friend Seb is keeping his cool and thinks a chat with his mate might be all he needs.
Meanwhile, acrobatic gymnasts Finn and Kirsten are busy training for their Acrobatic British Championships, but coach Nikki thinks they need a little extra help to give them the edge, so has called on old friend, and nationally renowned trainer and choreographer Andrew, to come in for a special masterclass. However, back at his own gym, Andrew also trains acro pair Jordan and Ella, who will also be competing at the British, and Andrew is determined his duo score higher than Finn and Kirsten, so the competition is on!
This week, it’s the turn of the trampolinists to take on the Gym Stars challenge, so knowing trampolinists have strong legs, Nile sets an arm-strength challenge hoping he’ll have the upper edge! And to round off the episode, the Gym Stars Top 20 gymnast this week is Joe Fraser, who won gold on the parallel bars at the 2019 World Championships as well as a team silver in the European Artistic Gymnastic Championships in 2017.
