At home with Muhammad Ali

Hana Ali on the faith and importance of family to her father, the late, great boxer Muhammad Ali. Presented by Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad.

Muhammad Ali was simply known as 'The Greatest'. To millions he's a sporting and cultural icon. To Hana Ali he's 'Dad'. Hana tells Jason Mohammad about her book 'At Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ With Muhammad Ali' based on personal and intimate home tape recordings he made and her personal memories of her father. She discusses his legacy and the importance of his Muslim faith.

Murray Lowe, who lives on the central coast in Eastern Australia describes himself as a 'hobbyist' photographer. So he was shocked when some recent photos posted on social media went viral. Murray's images of green shoots and colourful buds sprouting amongst the ashes after the recent Australian bushfires were jumped on as a symbol of hope after the devastation. He tells Kate and Jason about resilience in the Australian bush and how he hopes to give back to those affected by the fires.

Plus our Charity Champion, nominated by a listener, is the late David Shutts. Just days after his 50th birthday, David was diagnosed with stage 4 renal cancer and given two years to live. He used his time to set up a charity, called ASTRiid which helps partner employers with skilled people who had a chronic or long-term illness. The Charity is now run by David's brother Steve, who tells Kate and Jason about his brother vision.
