The Inimitable PG Wodehouse

Alexander Armstrong celebrates the work of PG Wodehouse - one of the greatest comic authors of the 20th century.

β€œEverything in life that’s any fun, as somebody wisely observed, is either immoral, illegal or fattening.” PG Wodehouse, Girl in Blue (1970)

Alexander Armstrong is at London's Westminster Abbey for a special dedication to PG Wodehouse (1881-1975), widely regarded as the greatest comic author of the 20th century.

During this showcase we hear a collection of some his best loved work, including a celebration of his many creations including:

* The feckless Bertie Wooster
* Wooster's phlegmatic manservant, Jeeves

They're brought to radio life by stars including Simon Cadell, Michael Hordern and Richard Briers.

Plus rare interviews and archive along with contributions from fans, friends and family.

Celebrating the comic brilliance of PG Wodehouse is for Alexander Armstrong (Armstrong and Miller, Pointless) a personal passion, especially as he’s president of the PG Wodehouse Society – which numbers fans from all over the world.
