Prince's Drive Baptist Church, Colwyn Bay

A service from Prince's Drive Baptist Church, Colwyn Bay led by the Revd Dr Rob Beamish who explores the less fluffy and cosy side of the Christmas story.

A service from Prince's Drive Baptist Church, Colwyn Bay led by the Revd Dr Rob Beamish. Dr Beamish admits that he has a problem with the cosy and glossy aspect of Christmas. During the service he considers what it meant for Jesus - within days of his birth - to become a refugee and be forced to flee his home town amidst a massacre of innocent children by a furious King Herod. We’re reminded that despite the state of the world the birth of the baby Jesus brings hope to a torn world. Carols include ‘The First Nowell’, ‘O come all ye faithful’ and ‘Hark the herald angels sing’.
