Pippa Gladhill - Maudie

4 Extra Debut. Lovingly carved from wood for the prow of a ship, Maudie is abandoned, but her memory takes a voyage. Read by Elizabeth Bell.

Maudie is a fading relic of a figurehead, propped in the corner of a Bristol boatyard, and the ship she was carved for, once the pride of the Victorian age, is now a museum piece. But Maudie's memories are alive and vivid.

Elizabeth Bell reads Pippa Gladhill's short story.
