Women for Women International
Women for Women International supports women who live in some of the
worldβs most dangerous places. Women enrol on the charityβs year-long training
programme, where they learn how to earn and save money, improve their familyβs
health and make their voices heard at home and in their community.
Since 1993, the charity
has helped almost half a million marginalised women survivors of war in
Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq,
Kosovo, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Sudan.
Stronger women build stronger nations
Thomasinaβs sponsor sister, Donata, has chosen to learn farming as her
business skill. By selling the onions she grows, she has been able to pay her
childrenβs school fees.

friends and we plan together to lift ourselves out of poverty,β shares Donata.
With the right support, women seize the opportunity to build a bright future
