In the 1970s, 17-year-old Rose Reilly left Ayrshire, determined to realise her dream to play professional football. A World Cup winner in 1984 for Italy and named the best female footballer in the world in the same year, she made her dreams a reality. Margot McCuaig is the award-winning director of the RTS Best Sport Programme films Jock Stein and Jim Baxter, produced by purpleTV for Â鶹ԼÅÄ ALBA. She also directed the RTS shortlisted Gothenburg 83 and Tartan Pride films, and the feature-length Jimmy Johnstone film, nominated for a Bronze Torc for Excellence at the Celtic Media Festival is 2017. Margot, from Glasgow and Rathlin Island, is the producer, writer and director of Rose Reilly.
