Do we need more female politicians?

Fresh efforts are being made in the Western Isles to encourage women to run for public office. At the moment, all local councillors elected to the local authority there are men. The region is also represented by men both at Holyrood and at Westminster. Workshops will be held in the coming days aimed at inspiring and empowering women into the world of politics.
