The Balloon of Babel by Jonathan Treitel

On the plain of Babel, the locals plan to use naturally occurring helium to communicate with the gods. Read by Peter Jeffrey.

"The original plan was to build a ziggurat - a jagged, winding monument of baked clay spiralling up to the heavens."

Jonathan Treitel’s short-story has something to do with Babel, lots of hot air and a reluctant adventurer called Bes.
