St Clare of Assisi

Franciscan friar Brother Eunan McMullen leads a reflection on St Clare from the Church of San Damiano in Assisi with music from Kantos Chamber Choir.

In 1212, a young noble woman from Assisi, approached a local preacher, and dedicated her life to God. She gave up her possessions and lived a life of simplicity. This woman was to become St Clare of Assisi, the founder of the Order of Saint Clare and the first woman to write a rule for religious life.
