The Rev Sharon Grenham-Thompson visits sacred sites in Assisi to explore St Francis' commitment to spiritual poverty.
Eight hundred years ago, a wealthy and frivolous youth stood before his father, removed his clothing and relinquished all material possessions. This was a key point in the life of the man who would become St Francis of Assisi.
The Revd Sharon Grenham-Thompson visits sacred sites in Assisi to explore St Francis' commitment to spiritual poverty. She's joined by Kantos Chamber Choir, directed by Ellie Slorach, singing hymns and sacred music inspired St Francis and Franciscan spirituality in sacred spaces in Rome and Assisi.
