Frank Renton launches the Young Brass Award 2018 as Radio 2 begins its search for the next brass star. Plus the massed bands of Black Dyke and Cory with their conductors Nicholas Childs and Philip Harper providing the climax to last month's ever popular Brass Band Gala in Symphony Hall, Birmingham. The bands play Leroy Anderson's Bugler's Holiday, arranged as a stunning cornet feature by Philip Harper and a weekend of world class brass band music making ends with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture.
