More about the programme:

Roy Jenkins guest on All Things Considered this week is the man who has just been elected the thirteenth Archbishop of Wales.
Μύ
John Davies, Bishop of Swansea and Brecon for the past nine years, is a former solicitor specialising in criminal law who has a passion for music and social justice. He has been priest of a variety of parishes, and run a cathedral, but the top job among the Anglicans of Wales must still be a daunting prospect.
Μύ
The church remains a visible presence in every corner of the country, and retains significant influence through schools and other community involvement.ΜύΜύ But as with other denominations, a long established pattern of decline worsens every year - fewer worshippers, fewer young people, fewer clergy.Μύ Drastic measures are deemed necessary, and as the church approaches the centenary of disestablishment - its independence from the Church of England - it appears far from united.
