Welsh rock band Stereophonics are celebrating the 20-year anniversary of their debut album Word Gets Around, which was released in August 1997. They open today's Festival in a Day.

Radio 2's Festival in a day returns to Hyde Park. Host Jo Whiley is joined on stage by Michael Ball to introduce the opening act. Welsh rock band Stereophonics are celebrating the 20 year anniversary of their debut album Word Gets Around, which was released in August 1997 and charted at number 6 in the UK. They kick off today's main stage line up at Hyde Park. Other entertainment on the day includes a live DJ set from Ana Matronic and features such as special editions of Popmaster, with Ken Bruce pitting Zoe Ball against Claudia Winkleman, and Sounds of the 80s, with Sara Cox presenting the era's pop videos. Clare Balding hosts A Question of 2, with Jeremy Vine, the Rev Kate Bottley and Jon Culshaw competing in a quiz testing their knowledge of Radio 2. And marking the network's 50th anniversary, Tony Blackburn and Paul Gambaccini introduce an orchestra piece encompassing Radio 2 themes and signature tunes.
