Episode 2 of 2
Marking 50 years since the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality, we explore the Welsh-ness of LGBT history.
2017 is the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act 1967 becoming law. It partially decriminalised homosexuality in England and Wales and was the first step to equality for LGBT people in the UK. We explore half a century of activism and social history in Wales with the people who have played a part. In the concluding episode of a two-part series, how Wales responds to the HIV crisis, Russell T Davies talks Queer as Folk, and the path to same-sex marriage.
