Roy has to break things up, and Johnny wants to spread his wings.
Jennifer shows Lexi how to clean a caravan according to her own high standards. She hopes the pickers have enjoyed themselves, and remarks how lucky they are to be able to stay in Ambridge. She suggests they must be impressed by how wealthy and developed the village is compared to their native countries. Lexi surprises her with a quote about the neighbourhood from Carinthia Hart's "Mistress of the Paddocks".
Roy breaks up an escalating argument between Lexi and Jennifer and steers their conversation onto Phoebe's trip to Budapest. Jennifer's full of recommendations, and Roy expertly flatters her while Lexi doesn't think much of Jennifer's ideas. Jennifer suggests Roy gives Lexi a lift to Borchester, unaware that they have a date planned. They wait until they are out of Jennifer's sight before they kiss.
Johnny announces to Pat and Tony that Adam has asked him to start work next week. At first Tony declares that it's completely impractical, but eventually he and Pat grant Johnny permission. Tony remembers some of the arguments he had with John, and resolves not to stand in the way of Johnny's dreams. But he worries that, after the excitement of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Farm, Johnny won't ever want to return to Bridge Farm.
