Ambridge Hall is invaded, and Tom angles for a better deal.

Bewildered Lynda's woken up to find six scruffy ponies grazing in her paddock with the llamas. They look dirty and undernourished, and on inspection Alistair finds one with a head-collar buried in its skin, and a nasty leg wound. Shula fetches a horse box and they treat the pony at the Stables. With a high temperature and in such poor condition, Alistair thinks it's touch and go for the animal. The rest of the ponies have to stay in Lynda's field for four days in case they're claimed.

Tony tells Tom he's determined to build his herd back up by replacing any reactors. If he gives up now, what else will he do with his life? David approaches Tony with a compensation offer, and both men agree they've hated all the rows between them.

When Tony reports David's offer back to Tom, Tom points out the it's not nearly enough if Tony really intends to buy new cattle. Tony concedes he should perhaps have mentioned this to David, but angry Tom reckons they shouldn't have to go begging. They should sue. Tony's appalled, so Tom takes it down a notch. They should at least present legal action as an option so they can push for a better deal. They've got Brookfield on the ropes. If they play it right, they can name their price!
