Frank and Kate - Part One

Aled shadows The Rev. Martin Abrams, who works as a hospital chaplain for Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust. We meet Frank Heath and Kate Hart, who are preparing to be married on the hospital ward. Β Frank has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

We meet Janet Bundy, who has been a patient on the spinal unit for the past five months after having an accident at home. Janet talks about how her faith sustains her.

Mary Macnab is a specialist urology nurse who volunteers alongside chaplain Martin to deliver bereavement training to midwives. Β Mary speaks from personal experience as her daughter Sophie was stillborn some 9 years ago. Β 

Frank and Kate - Part Two


Aled meets Kate and Frank before they are set to tie the knot, as the staff on the ward get busy with wedding preparations. The Rev. Martin presides over the marriage of Frank and Kate in a special ceremony as they are supported by close family and friends.Β
