The outlook for Britain's public finances has worsened by Β£25 billion since the March Budget, the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) has warned. It's US election day. In order to win, the candidates will have to win key battleground states. Michigan has not voted Republican since 1988 and is considered part of the Demcrat’s β€œfirewall” of safe states, while Ohio is one of the most marginal states and has mirrored the national election outcome in every election since 1960. A couple of weeks ago, the programme featured a rare left-coiled snail called Jeremy. The snail is so rare that the search for a mate, a similarly left-coiled snail, is very challenging.
