Radharc: The Island Where God Speaks Gaelic

Documentary originally broadcast in 1971 which examines the connection between the religion, geography and language of South Uist.

Anns a' phrògram, thathas a' toirt sùil air creideamh, àrainneachd agus cànan ann an Uibhist a Deas aig toiseach na seachdadan.

From the archives of RTÉ, this programme offers a chance to watch a special programme first broadcast in Ireland in February 1971. It was part of a documentary series which aired in Ireland for over 30 years.

This specific programme was filmed on South Uist with most of the filming taking place in Daliburgh, Lochboisdale and in Our Lady of Sorrows church in Garrynamonie. The theme of the programme looks at the connection between the religion, geography and language of the area during the early 70s.
