Music 'til Midnight - the best in easy listening sounds and timeless standards performed by the greatest artists from the past 60 years. Including singers Diane Reeves, Maria Muldaur, Mose Allison and Joe Williams plus instrumental classics from pianist George Shearing and trumpeter Clark Terry. This week's featured album is Nat 'King' Cole's 1957 release, After Midnight. After a decade of mainstream success, this album found Nat making a much welcomed return to his jazz roots. Not only was he playing piano and singing with his trio once again but he was also joined by a number of jazz greats including trombonist Juan Tizol, alto saxophonist Willie Smith and trumpeter Harry 'Sweets' Edison. The featured tracks include Sweet Lorraine, Blame It On My Youth and Get Your Kicks On Route 66.
