Ms Markey's Spare Room

Short story by Northern Irish actor and writer Eugene O'Hare. The arrival of her first ever house guest causes Ms Markey to take stock of her own life. Read by Brid Brennan.

Cutting short her doctor's visit, Ms Markey returns home to prepare for the arrival of her first ever paying house-guest. However she soon discovers the true cost of her visitor's stay.

Eugene O'Hare is an accomplished Northern Irish actor and writer. His plays include 'Hospital Food' for National Theatre for the 2015 Connections festival. He has worked with the Abbey Theatre and with Channel 4 Drama as part of the "4Screenwriters" placement. This is Eugene's second original short story for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4
