Billy Sloan plays the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe and Early Morning Soul. In this weekend's Musical Chairs feature Billy highlights the career of Allen Toussaint - musician, songwriter, arranger and record producer who worked with many artists including Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Paul Simon, Dr John, Joe Cocker, Etta James, Devo, The Band, Robert Palmer, John Fogerty, Steve Earle, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Cyndi Lauper, Patti Labelle, Smokey Robinson, John Mayall & Little Feat. The Great Collaborations track features Lulu & Sting and in The Real Thing it's 'Prince' by Madness - song written by Lee Thompson and is a tribute to Jamaican ska singer Prince Buster who influenced Madness. The band took their name from one of his songs 'Madness'.
