Before the referendum, all the Anglican bishops in Wales declared themselves for Remain.  Like leaders of other denominations, they are now urging prayer for ‘reconciliation among the divided factions in nations, communities and families.

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have spoken of the need to be ‘hospitable and compassionate builders of bridges and not barriers’.  But how, when many in the pews are jubilant, while others are desolate?
