More about the programme:

It’s a belief which helped to shape the western world for more than fifteen hundred years: it’s influenced politics, the law, and the way children are treated; and some find its echoes today in widespread feelings of guilt and inadequacy even among people with no formal religious beliefs.  But original sin seems rarely spoken of.   All Things Considered explores why - and what it still means for the world today.

Joining Roy are four guests:

James Boyce is the author Born Bad - original sin and the making of the western mind.Β

The Revd Dr Joanna Collicutt McGrath is an Anglican priest and lecturer in psychology and spirituality at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, who for many years worked as a consultant clinical neuropsychologist.

Father Gareth Leyshon is director of adult religious education in the Catholic archdiocese of Cardiff.

The Rev Jonathan Stephen, Head of School at the Union School of Theology in Bridgend and former Director of the conservative Evangelical network of churches Affinity.
