On the Buses

Bus journeys are in decline as cuts in the amount of public money that goes towards supporting the Welsh bus network translate into reduced frequencies and routes being axed altogether.

With further cuts to the budgets of both the Welsh Government and local councils expected later this Autumn, there are fears that the numbers will fall still further.

So, as the movers and shakers of the bus world prepare to share their thoughts on the future of the industry with Assembly Members, presenter Kayley Thomas hits the road to see if passengers - and operators - are getting a fair deal.
