Gillian Russell and the Personal Best team are going bike crazy this week...!
John Moy, one of Personal Best's fitness volunteers, has been talking about buying a bike for years ... but it's never happened! Having decided that cycling is his route to getting fit, John visits his local bike shop to get some advice from owner Mark Maciver.
Personal Best producer Suzy Beaumont takes visually impaired colleague Phil Sime out on a tandem and discovers the freedom he feels when he's out cycling. Mareena MacRae from the Highland Blind Cycling Club talks about how their tandem project works.
Reporter Bronwen Livingstone meets Andrew McVie and hears about his enthusiasm for one of the cycle hire schemes in Glasgow.
Instead of a tour bus, musician Richard Durrant uses his bike to commute from gig to gig, all round the UK and across the globe. He is passionate about reducing his carbon footprint and says he's fitter now then he's ever been.

Personal Best Volunteer John Moy
Β John (right) contacted the show as he wants to get fit but has been lacking motivation and PB are helping him to get more active. After his first interview, he said he would like to get into cycling, but didn't have a bike, so Gillian met him at an Inverness bike shop to get some advice from Mark MacIver (left) about which is the best bike for him.
