Russell Davies interview A-list legends of music, art, comedy and film. As part of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Rock 'n' Roll America season, Russell meets one of Britain's leading stars of the era, Marty Wilde.
Marty recalls his early days as a performer on the club circuit before he scored his first hit with "Endless Sleep" in 1958. He discusses the impact of British rock and roll, his role in the movement which became a global cultural phenomenon and how it influenced his children's musical careers, notably daughter Kim.
He speaks to Russell about film, alongside a soundtrack inspired by and including his work.
