Room with a tree
The average Londoner is now spending more than half their take-home pay on their rent, leading to fears that many are ending up in homes which are not fit for purpose.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ London has been given access to a number of properties deemed unsuitable to live in.
One property in Lambeth, which had a tree growing through a bedroom, was rented out for Β£100 a week.
Local authorities say a growing number of people are now paying for substandard properties.
