Live music highlights and interviews from folk artists at the 2015 6 Music Festival in Newcastle.
The 6 Music Festival is staged by Radio 2's digital sister station, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 6 Music. This year it included a dedicated folk venue: the Cumberland Arms in the Ouseburn Valley. On this week's Radio 2 Folk Show, Mark introduces some of the best performances from the folk acts at the event.
Featuring Eliza Carthy in conversation and collaboration with spoken word artist Kate Tempest, gritty shanty band Kings of the South Seas, exciting Brighton outfit Moulettes, Malian group Songhoy Blues, singer-songwriter Marika Hackman, Tom Robinson with musician and producer Gerry Diver, and Oxford quartet Stornoway.
