Written in 1934, JB Priestley described this play as one for which he had "a special tenderness like that which some parents feel for a certain child."

Described for the initial Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ broadcast as a "stereophonic radio version", it features the cast of the 1974 National Theatre production in London.
