Pupils from an Edinburgh school explore how their community was affected by World War I. They learn about life on the home front.
3/5 A group of young people from Portobello High School in Edinburgh have spent the last year discovering how their community was affected by World War One.
In this episode, the students discover how the Great War affected the lives of those on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Front. They hear how the people of Portobello contributed to the war effort at home; have a go at cooking WW1-style and learn about the first bombing raid on Edinburgh.
