Being Edan
Programme exploring the experiences of a person growing up with autism. Edan, a 16-year-old from Aberdeen, explains what the world is like from his own perspective.
1/1
16-year-old Edan loves comics, computer games and hanging out with friends. Unlike most other teenagers though, he grew up believing he was from an imaginary other world, that he calls Star Jute. He paces compulsively, has a diet almost solely composed of unbuttered tuna sandwiches, and often refers to non-autistic people as 'Muggles'. Seeing the world through Edan's eyes, this programme asks what more can be done to build bridges between autistic people and the rest of society.
