Mark Wilson is back in New Hampshire, with a second special edition of Kist from the annual Highland Games at Loon Mountain, where some competitors from here have hopes of doing well.

Drum majors Emma Barr from Co Down and Stephen Gilchrist from Co Tyrone are taking part in the International Drum Major Competition, and Emma’s dad, Alan, is here too, playing the pipes. But how well might these two young folk do in a tough competition?

Another piper Mark meets is Graeme Ogilvie, Pipe Major of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Pipes & Drums, the ‘house band’ at the games.

The heavy athletes are tossing cabers and throwing weights, and Mark catches up with Dan McKimm, a star on Kist last year when he won the games at Bethlehem PA, and a winner before at Loon, but will a second in the caber spoil Dan's chances of winning the world championship this time?

Cinde Dimonti, President of the New Hampshire Games, reminds Mark how like Scotland the Loon area is, and Doug Ewan of Arizona, still competing as a drum major aged 73, talks about his family links with Co Antrim.

Champion drum major Paula Braden from Londonderry is here to encourage the Northern Ireland competitors, and to add some spice to it all, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers tell Mark how their top-class talents as pipers and drummers make music that always gets the crowds jumping.
