Karine Polwart

Singer-songwriter Karine Polwart introduces Phil Cunningham to her five favourite songs, including tracks by David Bowie, Dick Gaughan and Michael Marra.

Karine Polwart is a one of our finest singer/songwriters. Her repertoire of folk songs is fast and she's known for writing songs with powerful lyrics and tackling subject's others would shy away from.

Phil quizzes her on her time with the band KP and the Minichips which she formed as a ten year old and she talks about her later influences and her recent musical collaborations.
