Roy Jenkins looks back at some of the big events of 2013 through the eyes of some of the guests who have contributed to All Things Considered throughout the year. Β  Archbishop Vincent Nichols, Paul Vallely, writer and activist, Barry Morgan, Archbishop of Wales and Dr. Anna Rowlands, Cambridge theology lecturer are amongst those who shared their views during the year a Pope resigned for the first time in centuries, his successor was elected, flags were raised for the birth of an heir to the British crown, and hung at half mast as the world honoured Nelson Mandela.Β  Β The programme also reflects on largely unseen work which has changed lives in local communities, and there are anniversaries and retirements!Β
