Primary Drama: Key Stage 1 offers simple-to-use drama resources for school children aged 5 to 7 which are intended to develop language and movement skills. The drama sessions are designed for the non-specialist teacher and offer an interactive learning resource covering a range of topics, including cross-curricular links to Literacy, History and PSHE. Each drama session includes a carefully balanced mix of movement, speaking and listening activities and role play. Use the Teachers' Notes for each session for practical guidance on how best to deliver the drama objectives in each session.

Using the drama content
 is an interactive drama series for children aged 5 to 7. Download the audio files and use them in conjunction with the Teacher's Notes to deliver drama sessions exploring a group of traditional stories. The stories in the collection are: 

Jack is off to market to sell Winona the family cow. But Jack is easily confused and meeting Beany Bob is persuaded to exchange Winona for five magic beans. Jack's mother isn't pleased and throws the beans into the garden. The next morning Jack finds a beanstalk growing up into the sky! He climbs the beanstalk to a giant's palace...but what will he find?
HeeHaw the donkey tells how he - and Caterina the cat, Dagma the dog and Rico the rooster - become musicians by making their animal noises together. The animals are on their way to Bremen when they come across some robbers in a woodland cottage...and they use their very particular musical talents to turn the table on the robbers!
The animals are fed up with Hare's endless boasting about how fast he can run. To prove he is the fastest Hare challenges the animals to a race - and only Tortoise - the very slowest of the animals - takes the challenge. None of the animals give Tortoise a chance, but come race day, things don't happen quite as the animals expect...

Aladdin is a daydreamer who always imagines himself rich and famous. One day a man asks Aladdin for his help to retrieve an old lamp that has fallen into a hole in the ground. The man gives Aladdin a sparkling ring as a reward, but pushes him into a dark cave. In the cave Aladdin discovers precious stones...so will he be able to live the life he has imagined?
Cinderella spends all day working while her sisters sit in armchairs lazily reading magazines and eating chocolates. One day there is huge excitement as the Prince decides to hold a party at the palace. Cinderella is not allowed to go and sits sadly by the fire. Then she's visited by a tiny old lady - her wish fairy. Will she be able to make it to the party?
The story is told by Ratatatatty, one of the Billy Goats Gruff. Ratatatty relates how each of the goats outwits the Troll, who lives under the bridge, to reach the fresh green grass on the other riverbank.
Mary's husband Ken wants to grow a turnip bigger than that of his rival, Arthur Potts. When it's time to pull the turnip out of the ground it is so enormous that it won't budge! So he enlists the help of everyone he can find!
