Vision Festival 2013
Jez Nelson presents highlights from the 2013 Vision Festival in New York, an event which celebrates the local and international avant-jazz scene.
For all that it celebrates and promotes counter-cultural music, New York's Vision Festival has become something of an institution. Now in its 18th year, the festival puts the spotlight on the avant-jazz scene of the lower east side of the city, also programming international musicians who share its innovative disregard for convention.
