Darkness on the Edge of Town

Johnnie celebrates the classic Springsteen album, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues remembers the decade in My 70s.

Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Compo, Cleggy and Nora Batty.

This week he'll be revisiting the classic Bruce Springsteen album Darkness On The Edge Of Town. Released in 1978, it remains one of his most highly regarded albums and has been played in full on his 2013 world tour. With live dates across the UK in July, Johnnie will look at how the album came to be with archive from Bruce himself, plus the songs that endure thirty five years after original release.

Also on the show, Justin Hayward picks two of his favourite tracks in My 70s, covering the music he loved in the decade and his memories of travelling the world with The Moody Blues.

Desmond Dekker's birthday will be celebrated with sounds from the archive, and another number one jam will be added to Johnnie's Jukebox.
