Clare Teal presents the second part of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Big Band's concert celebrating Fairfield@50. Including the music of the big band greats who have appeared in Croydon since the Fairfield Hall opened its doors on November 02 1962.
Including the music of frequent Fairfield vistors in the 1960's and 70's - bandleaders Buddy Rich and Woody Herman. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Big Band is conducted by American trombonist Jiggs Whigham who first performed at the Fairfield in November 1963 with Stan Kenton and also appeared as featured soloist with the Bert Kaempfert Orchestra shortly before Bert's death in 1980.
