After the tragic death of pop sensation Whitney Houston, Paul Gambaccini pays tribute to the multi-award winning star. In this special appreciation, Paul celebrates her life and music, with stories and songs from her extensive career.

Whitney Houston, who brought us hits including Saving All My Love For You, How Will I Know, So Emotional, Where Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me), was the recipient of six Grammy and two Emmy Awards, as well as many other musical accolades.

In 1992, she starred alongside Kevin Costner, as Rachel Marron, in The Bodyguard, gaining critcal acclaim for the Platinum selling soundtrack and confirming her status as a Hollywood actress. She went on to make several more films, including Waiting To Exhale and The Preacher's Wife, but her real passion was always her music.

Through her career she collaborated with an array of other stars, including Enrique Iglesias, Teddy Pendergrass, George Michael, Jermaine Jackson and Mariah Carey, on some smash hit singles. Her back catalogue is known throughout the world and although her death is a tragic loss to the music industry, her voice will live on forever.
