This material, plus other rare and forgotten interviews given by Sir Jimmy, provide an insight into the the man who, by his own admission, was "odd".
From reading telegrams to neighbours who'd lost loved ones in the Second World War, to the launch of Top Of The Pops and Jim'll Fix It, he talks about a life in the limelight, sharing his his attitude towards fame and fortune.
Jimmy also covers the charity work [he raised more than Β£40 million for charity over the decades], and his relationship with his mother "The Duchess", as he reflects upon his life and his mortality.
