In this programme Maureen Macleod talks to Maggie Harrison from Virginia who is a PhD student at Harvard University in Boston. They take a walk round Harvard Yard, the green at the heart of the university, and Maggie tells of the history of the founding of the university, its libraries and other buildings.

She tells Maureen how she is studying folklore and how she also studied at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in Skye for a period of time. She also describes student life at Harvard as being much hard work and study.
