In this programme Maureen Macleod talks to Simon Innes at Harvard University about his work there in the Celtic Department. He also tells how he learnt Gaelic in Inverness, how he became a teacher and the various posts he had before finishing his PhD and getting a job as lecturer at Harvard. He talks of how Harvard is such an inspiring place to work with every facility at hand as well as visiting lecturers from all over the world. He also talks of how hard the students work and the differences between American and UK student life.
