Karen Gillan & Noel Fielding - Drumnadrochit & Doodlings
Cape-wearer extraordinaire Noel Fielding & Drumnadrochit advocate Karen Gillan joined Graham, plus the nation felt blue after The Smurfs made a surprise musical appearance.
Graham's first guest this week was Karen Gillan, who popped in to talk about her West End debut 'Inadmissable Evidence', the Doctor Who Christmas special and playing 60s supermodel Jean Shrimpton. She was also slightly freaked out by a listener's marionette puppet; licking her lips at the thought of prawns and enthusiastic about Drumnadrochit tourism (there's a sentence you don't hear every day).
Noel Fielding joined Graham after 12 to chat about his new book, judgmental cows and why it's hard to come back once you enter 'cape territory'.
Today's 'I Can't Believe It's Not Better' left a lot of the UK feeling rather 'blue', as Maureen foisted The Smurf Song by Father Abraham & The Smurfs on us. Great start to the weekend, thanks a bunch Maureen.
Then Maria 'Postmistress Of Pain' McErlane delivered another two cracking 'Grill Grahams' for the nation to help with. First up was Emma in Birmingham, who didn't know whether to tell a friend about her other half's debt disaster, then Darren in Hayes (not to be confused with Darren Hayes) sought advice on who to fire from his team at work.
And in today's 'Tune With A Tale' Gavin Russell from Edinburgh interpreted 'Patches' by Clarence Carter, although mostly he plugged his band. So much so that we're not going to give The Rising Soul any more publicity at all. No more mentions of Edinburgh soul band The Rising Soul whatsoever, no siree.
