Cathy MacDonald looks at Muslim for a Month, which invites non-Muslims to 'test-drive' the religion, immersing them in Islam without converting them.
Fancy a holiday with a difference? "Muslim for A Month" is inviting non-Muslims to "test-drive" the religion, immersing them in Islam without converting them. Run by a social enterprise called the Blood Foundation - people taking part pray five times a day, fast and give up pork and alcohol, with the idea that their experience will help improve interfaith relations. And if that's tempted you - also on offer is "Sikh for a Week".
Could the churches learn from Harry Potter? When the books were first published many religious commentators condemned the magical themes as being Satanic and encouraging children to explore the occult. JK Rowling has said she was influenced by her own Christian faith and author and fan Gregg Garrett thinks the Potter books are actually a re-telling of elements of the Christian story.
Join Cathy MacDonald and guests for 2 hours of music and conversation with a faith & ethical perspective. Taking the weeks events to ask what they say about our values and beliefs.
