Sir Terry Wogan returns for another bank holiday special and he speaks to one of America's greatest comedy actors, Steve Martin.

With a career spanning almost 55 years, Steve Martin is a household name in the world of American comedy, having started as a stand-up comedian and appeared on shows such as The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live in the 1970s. Martin released platinum-selling comedy albums and performed for sell-out arena tours, before embarking on a career in movies.

1979's The Jerk was his first starring role, and other films include The Man with Two Brains, Little Shop of Horrors, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Parenthood, Father of the Bride and Bowfinger. As well as comedy and acting, Martin is a musician, writer, playwright, presenter and producer. His most recent album - with bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers - was released in March.
