Daddy Day Care
New dad David Stenhouse asks whether Scottish men will embrace the chance to share childcare when new laws on paternity leave come into force.
1/1
David Stenhouse has just become a first-time dad. He asks whether Scottish men are ready to embrace the opportunity of sharing childcare when new laws on extended paternity leave come into force. Will they see it as a welcome change or will it see them running to the hills? David compares the current laws to those in Sweden where parental leave is very much split equally between both parents. Can men in Scotland learn from their Scandinavian counterparts or will bringing up babies forever be seen as women's work?
